The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Dispatch Manager to lead our WA bedding distribution site. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient and customer-focused distribution of finished goods, while driving strong team performance, operational excellence and compliance.
Your responsibilities may include based on your experience:
- Manage all warehouse and dispatch operations, including storage, picking, loading and distribution
- Lead, coach and develop warehouse team members and supervisors
- Plan and execute efficient dispatch schedules in line with DIFOT and customer requirements
- Manage freight partners to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency
- Maintain accurate inventory through stocktakes, cycle counts and reconciliations
- Oversee site safety, security, maintenance and breakdown management
- Act as the key point of contact for delivery, transit and internal sales queries
- Deliver reporting on key operational metrics, costs and service performance
- Manage time & attendance, leave planning and performance processes
- Support capital, system or continuous improvement projects as required
About you
You will lead warehouse team members, drivers and contractors, manage site operations, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and company standards. As well as:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar warehouse or distribution leadership role
- Proven experience leading teams with multiple direct reports
- Strong knowledge of warehouse, dispatch and logistics operations
- Sound commercial and operational judgement with budget awareness
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance
- Confidence managing freight providers and customer service issues
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and ERP systems)
- Forklift licence and MPI certification (preferred)
